As a Logistics Account Executive at Tradewinds Global Logistics you will focus on the brokerage aspect of our business. You will do this by helping our customers/carriers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way by identifying and providing logistic solutions.
You will create and manage your individual portfolio of accounts while working in a team environment. Business is generated primarily thru inside sales by way of industry referral, prospecting and business to business selling. You will be addressing concerns and implementing solutions for both established, as well as perspective customers/carriers.
Until your book of business is established this job primarily involves INSIDE SALES and COLD CALLING. Leads are generated and followed up on primarily by the Logistics Account Executive with some leads furnished in house. You will be contacting shippers, manufacturers, 3PLs, distributors and carriers on a daily basis.

Tradewinds Logistics currently offers a generous commission structure (20% gross margin) with a guaranteed base ($35k+)

All brokers at Tradewinds Global Logistics are expected to generate a minimum of $2,000 of profit margin per week within a realistic timeframe from start date.
As a Logistics Account Executive, you will serve as the primary contact for clients and independent freight carriers and will build a book of ongoing business accounts via prospecting, networking and referrals. You will also provide your clients with the highest level of service and support in order to retain their business and grow their accounts which will gain referrals.
Your specific duties as a Logistics Account Executive will include:
· Generate new business leads and setting appointments
· Making sales presentations to prospective clients
· Negotiating shipping rates with carriers
· Manage daily shipping schedules and dispatching trucks for freight pickup
· Providing responsive customer service and resolving client issues quickly and efficiently
· Ensuring that all client freight loads are shipped on time
· Following up on client referrals
· Meeting or exceeding all performance goals
As a Logistics Account Executive, you must have a charismatic and confident personality as well as an exceptional work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit to manage your own book of business. Aggressiveness, persistence, resiliency and commitment to providing the best customer service are also important traits. It is very important that you are able to establish rapport and build credibility with customers/carriers.
